On the 3rd of March 2025 I relocated from my rented property in South Birmingham to my parents new home in South East London after living in Birmingham since 2010.

This was naturally a life changing event that began seven months previously in August 2024.

I created a series of prints to express my feelings of grief, love, longing, and uncertainty leading up to the moment of departure.

I used my last few days access to Stirchley Printworks to experiment with colours and paper. I chose to use my workplace branded letter paper because to chose to leave that job was hugely significant to me. The phrase ‘Lord take me away….’ Are words from Johnny Flynn – ‘The Water’. I song I found myself listening to obsessivley as it managed to articulate my thoughts on my situation better than I could.
