Natural Dye and Sustainable Print Summer

I took part in a short course at Morely College called Natural Dye and Sustainable Print Summer by Jo Primiano.

Jo Primiano is a textile artist who specialises in natural dyes and printmaking.

We learnt the princiuples of Mordanting fabric, what plants produce what colours, and how those colours can be affected by modifiers, primarily, acid, alkaline, and iron.

I produced a final piece on cotton and linen of strips of dyes and modifiers for future reference.
