Commission
Katie Rouse is a cocktail master at Couch Stirchley. She was independently competing in the final of World Class Drinks International Cocktail Competition, and commissioned me to produce a full colour landscape label printed for a 200ml bottle.
She was inspired by a childhood story from world-famous chef Asma Khan of the iconic Darjeeling Express train, and sticking her head out the window shouting her name into the mountains.
Ikon Gallery, Birmingham 2018 – 2025
Bookshop Assistant and Commission
Managed website content to ensure visual consistency, accessibility, and data integrity, aligning with organisational standards. Did research, managed orders, and catalogued new products and artworks, and kept accurate inventory records to support streamlined stock management.
Organised and maintained exhibition-related publications to ensure complete and accurate documentation.
Collaborated with the Exhibitions and Facilities teams for condition reports, handling and sales of limited edition prints and sculptures, prioritising accurate records and client communication.
Designed, Tote bag and Risograph print for Ikon’s 2019 Exhibition ‘Forward’. and designed branding for Ikon’s Craft, Winter and Small Press markets. Additionally, designed, edited and printed ‘Print on Demand’ Archival posters from 2019-2023 using the large format Epson printer
Curated visual displays, adapting to trends and seasonal preferences to enhance visitor engagement. Utilised in-depth knowledge of the organisation’s archives to support curatorial tasks and assist visitors with specialised inquiries. Managed public events, including book launches and markets, often in dynamic environments
Coordinated all of Ikons artist markets and shop related events, including workshops, book launches and talks.
Ōtori-Sama 2024
Commission
Commissioned to produce this design as a gift print in 2024. The request was a recreation of the Ōtori-Sama scene from Spirited Away. After a few experiments with colour and mesh count, I was able to produce the details we were both happy with on an A4 print.
Ten Acres of Sound, Birmingham 2020

Worked collaboratively with The Holodeck Birmingham to produce Risograph, marketing material, t-shirts, and tote bags.
Ten Acres of Sound was devised by Artefact Projects, a co-operative art space on the high street of Stirchley, and aimed at aligning concerns around gentrification, locality, climate justice and social relations.
Birmingham Museums Trust 2017-2022
Documentation / Registrar’s Assistant – Museums Collection Centre: Collaborated with a small team to refine spreadsheets covering the museum’s entire collection. Contributed data and material information for the museum’s expanding online database. Utilized specialized book scanning technology to digitize historic log books, supporting the creation of a unified, accessible digital archive.
Conservation Club Member: Assisted conservators in conservation cleaning at historic sites like Aston Hall, Soho House, and Sarehole Mill. Received training in object handling and hazard awareness, focusing on preventing erosion caused by human touch, moisture, and dust. Training in art and object handling and safety.
Stirchley Community Market, 2017-2020
Social Media Coordinator, Programmer, Market Manager
SCM is a community-based monthly market, voluntarily managed since 2010, focusing on local food and crafts, regularly featuring over 20 businesses during engaging 4-hour evening events.
Designed all the branding and promotional materia.
Overseeing setup, installation, and de-installation procedures. Corresponding closely with stalls on event days and actively engaging with the public and volunteers to ensure the seamless execution of the event.
Overseeing all online content and promotional activities, including scheduling, email campaigns, social media management, to website editing. Managing all administration concerning handling private information, sensitive data, and passwords.
Applying and paying for the appropriate licences and rent agreements.
Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of guests and volunteers throughout the event, implementing effective safeguarding measures.
Writing extensive and detailed handover notes to facilitate seamless transitions between volunteers, ensuring continuity and efficient operation.
