2017
In light of the ongoing redevelopment and changes of Digbeth’s landscape looming over us, I found myself increasingly worrying about the preservation of our current art scenes within it. Trying to support the Birmingham’s art scene during this pivotal period, I started a project to produce a series of postcards, pulling on the ideas of nostalgia and memory. These postcards were made available for purchase during the closing and fundraising event held at Home for Waifs and Strays, hosted in their space within Minerva Works. This aimed to both celebrate and support the vibrant cultural heritage of our community.
